個人的にはオリジナルのJONES GIRLS（デトロイト出身の姉妹）もいいですがARIWA
からリリースしているBLACK MAGIKCのカバーも最高。同じくUKからですがJENNIFER
BENJAMINのカバーも中々いいです。この曲のカバーはどれもハズレなしって感じかな。

行楽シーズンの季節に車を運転しながら聴いてもいいし、休日の昼にイージーリスニング的

な感じで聴いても最高なんじゃないかなって思ってます。この曲の出だしを聴いてると何だか
ウキウキしてくるな～流石スウィート・フィリーって呼ばれてるだけあるね。

余談ですが今年こそはフィリーズ（メジャーリーグの球団で個人的に大ファン）がワールド
シリーズを制覇して王者に!!!!去年はセカンドステージでジャイアンツに負けたからな・・・

が、今回は彼の作品で一番好きな曲を紹介します。この曲のサンプリングしたEAST END×YURI

の『DA.YO.NE』が日本で流行ったみたいです。自分は知りませんでしたが（笑）

　そんで彼は、１９６０年代から活躍しているアーチストでマイルス・デイヴィスの初のエレクトリック・ジャズ作品Miles in the Skyのレコーディングにも参加しているBIG MANです。６８歳の今なお現役で活動されているアーチストなんで是非チェックしてみて下さい。

今日紹介するレコードはその当時将来を有望視されていたが僅か２５歳の若さで亡くなったR&Bアーチスト、JOHNNY ACEの曲でPLEDGING MY LOVEです。この曲は彼が亡くなった翌５５年に１０週連続R&Bチャート１位を記録し、数多くのアーチストにカバーされています。マーヴィン・ゲイ＆ダイアナ・ロス、アーロン・ネヴィル、エルビス・プレスリー、JAMAICAではジョン・ホルトやフレディーもカバーしています。私はジョン・ホルトのカバーよりもフレディー・マグレガ－のカバーが好きです。一度オリジナルと聴き比べてみて下さい。
